Basement bonus room Remodel
This Project involved supporting the existing house by a combination of structural reinforcement and temporarily bearing points. This project started as a crawlspace and ended as a beautifully constructed entertainment room.
We first protected the exposed aggregate sidewalk from being damaged while the project was underway. Then we Installed the new glulam beam to get rid of the pier pads and posts in the crawlspace. The glulam beam was extended three feet beyond the house to move the house's bearing point off the foundation walls to the temporary pier pads. This was done because we were digging the crawlspace below the existing house footings. New foundation footings and walls were poured.
The construction continued and the project turned out great.
